Our Trip to Jackson: Part Two

Our favorite highlight of the trip was putting all the kids to bed at night, and then we all relaxed in the hot tub on our deck. We enjoyed popcorn, licorice, and ice water (in wine goblets) while pontificating about a number of trivial things (like whether or not the popcorn bowl would float). It was great!

My sister-in-law, Kami, and I discovered this cool taxidermy shop while we were out and about one day. So we took the rest of the folks to see it. I thought Spencer might especially enjoy seeing the animals, but he was kind of freaked out by them. You can see he was trying to escape.

Here we are growling back at a menacing-looking bear.

There was also a "real" Bigfoot at the store! I was hoping to get a picture of Spencer standing next to him, so you could see the size comparison, but he wouldn't go anywhere near it!

Carson was just "along for the ride" the whole time. He didn't seem bothered by any of the furry creatures.

There they are--Kristy's cuties!!

Carson thinks Daddy's phone is for his use and enjoyment. He starts whining and reaching for it as soon as Andy comes in the door at night. I don't know who he thinks he's talking to, but he picks up the phone and says, "Ugh!" and puts it back down.

On our way home, we stopped at a park to eat lunch and take a little break from driving. It was hard to pull everyone away from the swings. We all had a good time!
