Field Trip

Spencer and I went on a fabulous field trip with his preschool class to the Hill Air Force Base Museum. Although only seven of the twelve class members came, it was still quite a job trying to keep them all together and under control. We spent most of our time in the museum's learning center, a special area for kids, where they can try on flight suits, play on old simulators, and play games. Spencer had a blast!

The volunteers who helped our group were so nice. They let each child get into one of their kid-sized airplanes and then they pushed them around for a short ride. I was afraid the old guy would get a back injury, but he seemed to be enjoying himself.

Here is the class with Spencer's favorite pal, Ammon, in the pilot's seat. Spencer is second from the left, next to the girl in the stripes.

There were only seven kids, but they were busy. I thought it was a challenge taking Spencer and Carson's picture together!

Tom Cruise never looked this cute in Top Gun!
Spencer and Ammon are cut from the same cloth. They both made a beeline for the space suits.

Ready for takeoff!

Who knows, maybe Spencer will travel to the moon for a summer vacation someday!
